Johnnie Semerad

Creative Director

Johnnie Semerad has handled VFX for high profile brands such as Pepsi, GE, FedEx, Fox Sports, the NBA and HBO to name a few. There isn't an award out there that he hasn't won. He has done countless Super Bowl spots as well as a Grammy award-winning video for the Beatles. But his favorite job is the next one, especially if it involves concept-to-completion jobs or live-action simultaneous with animation. His work with renowned ad director Joe Pytka can only be described as – legendary.

Johnnie launched into advertising as a digital flame artist 20 years ago as an intern just needing to complete some credits for his BFA in drawing at Pratt Institute and hasn't left the box since.

He has no life outside of work except for spoiling his two girls, Emma and Dara.

Carey Gattyan

Partner / Executive Producer

Carey Gattyan is an advertising dynamo who has won nearly every award there is and has produced more than her share of Super Bowl commercials, including the unforgettable Pepsi Bears spot. But it wasn’t always so.

In the fall of 1996, Carey’s sister submitted her resume for a receptionist’s position at an “effects house” listed on the back page of Shoot Magazine. Six weeks later, Carey, who was about four credits shy of a master’s degree in child psychology, was producing award-winning campaigns for Johnnie Semerad. She obviously knew where she could best utilize her academic training! Between then and now, she has become a wife, a mother, an Anusara certified yoga instructor, a member of the Running Club and a world-class frequent flyer.

Carey spends her weekends with her husband watching her son play soccer and her daughter ride her favorite horse Chip.

Bob Nelson

Executive Producer

Bob Nelson is a talent-driven leader with more than 25 years of experience as Director of Broadcast Production for top advertising agencies. His range of clients have included Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi, Sprite, Heineken, Mercedes-Benz, Subaru, New York Lottery, Hertz, Lipton, Cotton, Philips Electronics, Anheuser-Busch, Evian, Club Med, Volkswagen, and Porsche. He is an exceptional manager who chooses to remain close to his craft, producing many of his own projects. His leadership, advertising, and production skills qualify Bob as QuietMan’s ideal liaison between creative talent and clients.

As an agency producer, Bob earned six Cannes Lions, multiple ANDY and Clio Awards, honors at the AICP Show, and inclusion in the Museum of Modern Art’s film archive.

In 2010 Bob was elected to the Digital Board of Directors of AICP, where he participated in drafting the industry’s first Digital Standards and Practices Guidelines.

Tyler Jarrett

Managing Director

Tyler Jarrett is the unofficial right-hand man of QuietMan EPs Carey Gattyan and Bob Nelson. His work includes a recent three-spot LEGO campaign, Gillette Tattoo, Sprint Pants, No Pants, and DQ Inhaling. The last two earned top spots of the week in Shoot Magazine and accolades in several other industry pubs. He has worked with numerous top agencies, including BBDO, Grey, and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.

Prior to working his way through the ranks at QuietMan and Semerad before, Tyler spent time at the Logo channel working on documentaries and at MTV Networks contributing to the True Life series. He has a bachelor’s degree in electronic media from George Washington University.

Meet the Reps

Anya Zander

Sales

Anya Zander is cofounder of House of Cards, an independent talent agency representing directors, editors, graphics designers, and composers within the commercial production industry. Before that, she worked as head of marketing and sales for Lost Highway Films in New York following graduation from F.I.T. in 2007 with a degree in advertising and marketing communications.
